Fits perfect, works great, installation took less than 5 minutes

I bought this hose and spare hose for DC33 at the same time. Installation took less than 5 minutes and hose took about 3 minutes. I read the reviews and several people claimed it took 30 minutes to an hour to install and some just gave up. I'm not sure what the problem was for her, but it took me a few minutes and a damn joint. Been using it daily for about a month or more and no problems so far. How do I replace the roller. I didn't have to change the belt, so just for changing the roller: - Make sure the floor switch is in the 'bare floor' position or something so it disengages the clutch. This will make pulling the reel much easier. - Lay the vacuum cleaner upside down on a table or counter (after unplugging it, of course). - Use a coin or flathead screwdriver to turn the 3 clips holding the reel. Put on the roller cover and remove the cover. - If the bottom of the vacuum cleaner is facing up, the handle and body should be facing away from you. Slide the pawl on the left holding the roller in place so that it is completely outside of the vacuum (on the right side of the roller is the belt). This retaining clip will pop out of the end of the reel and shaft if you pull on it a little. - Pull up on the right side of the roller until the clamp is completely out of the vacuum. You will need to use some force as the strap is still a bit tight. Pry up the belt with your finger or a screwdriver and pull just enough to remove the old pulley. - Replace the roller starting on the right side. After threading the rod through the new pulley and placing the retaining clips on the correct ends, insert the strap end retaining clip (right) into its slot. Now insert the other end into the slot where it should be. - Replace the cover and use a coin or flathead screwdriver to turn the clips back into the locked position. - Use your hands to turn the pulley back and forth a few times to properly fasten your seat belt. You can now move the selector switch to the carpet position and the clutch will engage, allowing the roller to rotate normally when engaged. It only takes a few minutes.
