These products are a godsend for my type 4 hair! I haven't tried it on dry hair yet. However, wash-day detangling was easy, even after shampooing but before the deep conditioning. I used the Denman brush, a detangling and detangling product that pulled my hair out and made me fall out more than usual. These brushes don't do that to that extent. One piece of advice I would suggest is to try a brush with a small clip, otherwise you may experience more hair loss without it. I recommend this product to anyone looking for a new detangling brush, especially for type 4 hair.
