This lamp has such a great base, but my lampshade is crooked. It tilts to one side and also backwards. It's really wrong. I would have a hard time getting it to climb and since I don't ride I just keep it to myself. This purchase makes me feel like I have to go to a furniture store to buy a more expensive lamp. It's sad because it's so much more convenient to be able to buy from home, especially in times of Covid 19. I really don't know if it's just my lamp or if they're all like that. The connection between lampshade and base doesn't snap at all, so maybe this lamp is designed that way. Funny, I got a very basic inexpensive lamp from a hardware store and the lampshade snaps into place and is always straight. The base of the lamp is so pretty but I wouldn't recommend it because of the slanted lampshade.
