I love it! I'm 5ft 8" and about 160. As for my hip size, I've been told I have a smaller waist than usual, this large one fits just right, doesn't shed at all and is very long! I want to say that my typical size is M. Based on the reviews I ordered a size up and it wouldn't fit otherwise. wear crazy panties while wearing this. You can see it under direct bright light. There's a lining for it, but it's a slightly translucent material.
