Getting some good prints was a little harder than expected, but we got some usable ones. I wanted casts when the baby was little, we got them at 6 weeks. Because of footprints, we had to pick him up and put his foot on the pillow to wake him up. His hand was a little stiffer, we had to wait for him to fall asleep as he moves so much and then put his hand down and squeeze lightly. It was tough as he still had a strong startle reflex and I was nervous trying to squeeze his small hand hard. In general it worked; Although every print is different and some are not as good as others, it was still a great way to keep your prints. I laminated the cards with his prints as the ink never seemed to dry completely and I was afraid it would get wet. The lamination made the ink nice and dark and crisp and also kept it from smearing over time.
