It appears to be a simple plug and play product, and for the most part it is. It reliably converts 12 volts to 120 volts with a fairly equivalent sine wave. Much has been written about pseudo-sine converters, so if in doubt, please search the internet for this topic. Because the output is not a pure sine wave, some devices may have problems with the output of this inverter. In my experience, none of the computer power supplies or motorized devices we've run with it have been unhappy with the power output. However, be aware that the harmonics generated by this inverter may *interfere* with some devices. I give it 5 stars because we had no problems with the two we had. Note, however, that some devices may be "unsatisfied" with performance that is not a pure sine wave.
