Review on 🔴 Inateck KT4001 PCI-e to USB 3.0 (4 Ports) Expansion Card with 15-Pin Power Connector - Red by Roberto Garrido

That's what you get!

В отличие от других карт PCIe USB 3.0, которые я пробовал (4 других) эта работает.!У меня 2 компьютера, один с XP SP3 и один с Win 7 SP1, и эта карта работает на обоих out of them. I have connected 4 Western Digital external hard drives to these computers that can use USB 3.0 and after using them for years with the USB 2.0 ports that these machines come with, I wanted to implement the faster transfer speeds available over USB 3.0 are available. I've tried several different cards from different manufacturers and each had problems. Then I came across the review from someone who had a similar experience to mine, but installed a PCI-e adapter on a friend's computer, which worked great. Upon further investigation, he discovered that his friend's USB 3.0 adapter had a "FRESCO" chipset and the cards he was trying had NEC chipsets. . So I wrote to Inatek support and asked which of their cards have FRESCO chipsets. I was told that all their green PCB cards are NEC chipsets and all their red PCB cards are Fresco chipsets. I was told that there are two PC cards, KT-4004 which is a wireless card and KTU3FR-4P which is a powered card. It was also mentioned that KTU3FR-4P will be more stable as it will get auxiliary power from computer power supply. So I went with the Powered card because after trying so many other cards I wanted to give this card every chance to work properly. I ordered a card first and once it arrived and installed I went to the manufacturer's website and downloaded and installed the latest driver. After the computer recognized the PCI-e USB 3.0 adapter, I started connecting my external hard drives. The first thing I noticed was that instead of the usual "plug and <ring>" I was used to, the "ringing" sounded almost instantaneously. I had 3 of my external drives connected to this first computer, and each of them, as soon as the USB cable was connected to the card, produced an almost instantaneous "ringing" sound, indicating the USB device was disconnected . Ring detected, not the old two or two second delay I'm used to with USB 2.0. The next thing I noticed after all my hard drives were connected was that the overall machine performance was better. Each menu opened faster, each folder I clicked on responded faster. Within minutes of noticing how much more responsive the entire computer had become, I figured out why that might be. If you've ever had more than one hard drive connected to your computer and one of them runs out of free space, you'll find that your entire computer's performance slows down. When you reach the point where there is only 1 or 2% space left on any of your drives, your computer will run slowly. Once you delete or move some files from that disk and give it back about 10% or even better 25% free space, your performance will improve again because the computer can access the disk index faster again. Upgrading from USB 2.0 to USB 3.0 also increases the speed at which your computer can access the indexes of these external drives, thus improving performance. After that I ordered a second card for my XP machine and it worked fine again. If you've tried other PCI-e USB 3.0 adapters that didn't work, do yourself a favor and try this one. I was having poor results with every other card I tried until I found out about the chipset difference. and chose a card with "fresco" chipset. I installed this on two different machines and both run like champions. I have no doubt that when you receive this card your headache will end and you will be as happy as I am now. PS Measure the distance from the used SATA connector to the PCI-e slot. You can purchase an 8" or 12" SATA power extension cable at the same time as your order. Although it comes with a SATA splitter, you may need a bit more cables if the distance is more than a few inches, which was the case in my case.
