Review on Manicure Spa Tool Set: Rolabling 2 PCS Soak πŸ’… Bowls for Nail Art Polish Removal and Soaking, Wash Soaker Trays by Audrey Talbott

Revainrating 5 out of 5

A tool I didn't know I needed

I've been doing my own manicures with gel or nail polish for years but recently switched to powdered acrylics and found it awful difficult remove it no matter what i tried. I bought this based on a recommendation I saw on a Facebook group and I'm SO HAPPY I did. That's two packs. Since I like having one hand free when removing my nails, I gave one to a friend who has also started doing her own manicures. I buffed off the shiny layer of my nails, filled the bottom bowl with warm tap water, sealed the top and filled it with acetone. I left the nails on for 5 minutes without worry and then used a paper towel to lightly buff each nail. I then let all the nails soak for another minute or two and did the same and repeated until all of the product was removed. This is by far the most efficient and convenient way to dip directly into acetone. Overall, it took about 20 minutes per hand to remove all of the polish. I had four coats of powder so I think it will take less time with fewer coats or gel polish. My nails are generally brittle from previous attempts at removal, but I expect them to be intact again afterwards. The only thing I dislike about this method, not necessarily about this product, is how wasteful acetone is used. Good thing acetone is cheap!

Pros
  • Not just useful for it's intended purpose
Cons
  • Nothing here
