As an elderly and no longer petite grandmother, I enjoy water aerobics and plan to celebrate our 40th birthday in Kauai this year. I wanted to wear my one piece and cute swim trunks without "scaring" anyone! This skirt fits the bill as it hides my "problem areas" which makes me look a little more modest with built in cuteness! I usually wear a size 14 and the large size fits me perfectly. As mentioned, you can wear it higher in the waist or lower in the thighbones. As I'm only 1.70 m tall, the length fits me perfectly. It washes and dries well so we can use it multiple times on our trip. The only problem I had was that at the bachelorette party in the resort pool and lazy river pool, my skirt kept going up or floating up while in the water. I'm happy to put up with that as I prefer great lighting when I'm "on land"! Another way to stay cute and decent in my age group! Ha! Try it, I think you will like it too!
