Great for any artist; Student, professional or even amateur. The ink is rich in pigments and will last a very long time depending on average usage. Even the pencil was pretty good, and it's not just your regular store bought cheap pencil, it's actually a lot stronger and feels nicer. The included eraser is perfect for erasing small mistakes that a large eraser can't fix and can be used like a regular pencil at school or work instead of just sketching or drawing. This set allows me to add small details to my art and it even comes with a graphic pen to fill in those blank spaces or create thicker lines. Overall very amazing and would definitely recommend it to any artist. This is definitely what all detail-oriented illustrators need. The only thing I would like to add is that you need a very firm hand otherwise it can result in very shaky strokes which are just very ugly and can mess up the whole drawing. I'd also like to add that you shouldn't press too hard or you risk chipping or breaking the tip. These are very fine pens, the ink is really pigmented and you don't have to press hard to handle them.
