This cable has aluminum connectors that corrode quickly. Mine started losing connectivity after about 1.5 years of use. The problem has always been the messy end where the cable plugs into the 6 pin connector that comes with the kit. The outlet is a cheap plastic case with aluminum contacts. I replaced the outlet with a metal body model with copper contacts and replaced the cord with a Roadmaster (146-7) Flexo-Coil 7-wire to 6-wire power cord. The Roadmaster cable has copper terminations, so all connections are now copper. Switching from a 6-pin-only cable eliminated a 7-pin to 6-pin adapter, another potential source of error. However, as mentioned, the problem has always been in the connection between the cable and the jack that comes with it. Don't buy this.
