I didn't want to spend 3x more on HP toners so I took a chance and bought them. I don't see any difference in quality yet. I've printed a few hundred pages in black and a few dozen in color and the quality seems to be on par with HP cartridges. As for durability, I guess time will tell. I noticed that HP has released a firmware update for their wireless printers to exclude all toner cartridges other than their own. Luckily or not, I think a few people have had this issue and have posted many workarounds to roll back the printer to a previous firmware version and allow 3rd party cartridges to work again. Just don't let your printer or computer do HP updates and you'll be fine. They continue to work to block access to third-party products.
