Although I found this jig easy to understand and use, despite the lack of instructions I have some problems. The first problem was that the two outer screw holes meant to attach to the base also lined up exactly where the drill bit came out. This means the drill has a little more depth and will drill through your part for those two outer holes. It's a fixable issue, but it was a problem. If the unit had come with a couple of flush screws to use the mounting holes I could have used those and then the head of the mounting screw would have been a good grip but that wasn't the case. The second edition came later. Over time my drill bit slowly bit into the aluminum base, making a deeper and deeper hole for the drill head until it cut deep enough that the attachment was useless unless I put a new plug on the drill base. jigs I haven't tried cutting in metal, but with over 100 pieces of wood that I have pocket holes in, I can't use it like this anymore.
