After posting this review I heard from the Vectotech support team. They took my situation very seriously. Unfortunately they couldn't recover the data for me but offered to ship the drive to a location that could. The cost of the restoration would be prohibitive, so I decided against it. Although Vectotech could not recover my data, I found response times there. and the service is top notch. They quickly sent me a replacement drive. The nature of hard drives is such that they can fail. I've had experiences with companies whose customer service has been as dismal as their products. This does not apply to Vectotech. So I removed my Do not buy from this company recommendation because they stand behind their product and great customer service. I would give them five stars if they could recover the data. I will buy from this company again. Original post with changes: Yesterday, like in the last few weeks, we broadcast our service. We use this disc for recording. It worked perfectly. But yesterday, without warning, the hard drive on our computer just stopped loading. The blue light is still on, but the hard drive itself, containing all of our precious footage, is completely inaccessible. We have tried to access data on multiple computers to no avail).
