Review on 💻 Acer Aspire TC-1660-UA92 Desktop: 10th Gen Intel Core i5, 12GB RAM, 512GB SSD, Windows 10 Home by Robert Howell

I've only had my computer for 3 days so it's about the setup not how it works. Obviously it hasn't been opened. Its contents included the TC-895, keyboard and mouse as advertised. There was also a 6-inch cable with a Serial ATA label, the usual warranty in very small print, an FCC and EU compliance statement that included power management information and a page of what appeared to be blueprints for the connector, and a flyer with titled "There are questions about your new Acer device? ask us! Typically, today, a new piece of electronic equipment of any complexity is provided with a set of illustrations and instructions for the initial setup, the size of a poster or spread, and in the case of a PC, a photograph or drawing showing the connector or connector type marking on the front and back. If you need anything else, visit the website and download the PDF user manual. So I thought I'd have a look, maybe it's missing and if it's online. I was able to easily find the right Acer support page. There I found the user manual, but not the installation manual. The user manual says nothing about the initial setup. BUT, it was referring to a getting started guide/poster that is not listed in the box or online documentation for my computer model. It was late but I decided to chat with Revain Tech Support. Abdul helped me by telling me what the ATA cable is for (in case I want to add a component) but couldn't find anything on how to set it up. However, he offered to arrange a refund if I wanted to send it back. I declined. Then I called Acer support. I was quickly put in touch with a representative who was no luckier in Revane than Abdul. In an attempt to be very helpful, he offered to walk me through the installation process. By now it was almost 10pm and I'm not a night owl so I said thank you and said I'd call back. The next day I decided to just plug everything in and see how I was doing. It was good. By day two, I was able to identify the front and rear ports (there were microscopic icons next to some). Until now I didn't know that there are 3 types of USB connections. The bottom line is that Acer should have easy documentation with their computers. This would save a lot of time and nerves for those of us who aren't techies. Now I just hope this thing keeps working.
