They're fragile, but we value their biodegradability. Funny story: we bought these as travel potty liners for our toddlers and found a giant bug on our van at the bus stop. I used one of these bags to snag a bug to inspect (this turned out to be a dangerous bug known for completely destroying trees and forests. Spoiler alert: it's not that. But this is irrelevant). When we got to our destination an hour later, the bug had gnawed holes in the bag. We thought this was an interesting reference to the materials the bag is made of. Actually biodegradable and based on corn. However, they are not very strong. As pot liners we had to be very careful not to tear them! But as non-kitchen bin liners, they'll probably do just fine as long as they don't overflow.
