I got this after seeing a lot of people online using these jelly gouache cups and I wanted to try it. Gouache is my favorite medium for painting, so I knew I could benefit from this palette. The mugs are very pretty, but a bunch of these mugs didn't fit me. I sprayed them with water frequently as the top layer of paint began to dry, and at the end I placed a sheet of waxed paper between the cups and the lid to keep them moist when put away. It also made me cringe because I had to dip a dirty brush into several cups to mix exactly what I wanted. I found it much more comfortable to scoop some paint out of cups onto a plastic mixing palette with a small spatula. I felt less like I ruined the whole paint cup that way. I would say if you don't mind getting your cups dirty this might be something for you. However, if you want clean and pure colors, this type of color packaging probably won't work. As for the quality of the paint, they appear to be pretty standard student quality gouache. I definitely don't feel bad about using a lot of paint, making mistakes or doing a lot of layers. Some colors will discolor the plastic palette included in the kit. I have found that pink/purple and yellow color the most. The price for it is definitely unbeatable. You get a lot of product for the price you pay.
