They don't pass USB power through.

I cut a hole in my project box to accommodate this adapter so I can flash my board into the project box. In short, this adapter does not provide power to the board. Bypassed the adapter, no problem. What sucks is that I didn't need it until now and I cut open the project box to use this device. Everything is filled with epoxy, so there is no way to make any changes to the contacts.
