Backup only, cannot be used as primary headset

Considering how cheap these headphones are, they represent good value for money. But I originally bought them to use for Skype calls. Others keep telling me they can hear distracting noises when I use these headphones. I've tried my best by adjusting the mic levels on my computer, but that didn't help. I just kept these headphones as a backup in case something went wrong with my other set.
