Review on Stay Ahead of the Game with the Waterproof Wireless Bicycle Speedometer - LCD Display & Multi-Functions by Kevin Baker

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Don't neglect the missing title!

After hours of trying to get this to work - Issue resolved when I was holding the computer and trying to decide where to place the magnet and sensor while the Wheel turned - I finally got back to reading the comments on Revain to see if I can get the key. It worked when I tested it, but not after I installed it. What we didn't find, and which should have been in bold, is the maximum distance a computer can read from a sensor. One reviewer highlighted this in his review, and after moving the magnet and sensor closer to the circumference of the wheel (and therefore closer to the computer, I used a tape measure to make sure I was within 23 inches), everything worked perfectly. As others have said, the instructions are pretty awful, unclear and bad English, bad translation from Chinese to English. We recently installed bike spoke lights so I had a working knowledge of how to fit them, you can figure it out with your head. , no instructions. However, make sure the handlebar-mounted computer is no more than 23 inches from the spoke sensor. People who built them on kids bikes had no problem because kids bikes are smaller. I'll probably come back here for an update after we've used it for a while, but I wanted it straight away to maybe ease the disappointment as most of the one star reviews were very emphatic that their problem was there consisted that the parts were too far apart.
