This belt has restored my confidence in my DIY repair skills. I felt defeated after a valiant attempt and a failed attempt to install a supposed "Hoover Original" replacement belt. I knew that the new belts would need to be slightly smaller in diameter as the old belt would stretch a bit with wear. I just couldn't understand that, da#*! new belt on. Was it just me or the belt? Rather than give up and take my vacuum to a shop, I took a gamble and ordered this pair of "regular" belts and GODDESS I installed this new belt in minutes and my vacuum is working great again! Replacing the flat belt on these vacuums is not user-friendly under the BEST of circumstances, but is doable with patience, some manual strength, and an appropriately sized replacement belt. I don't know if the first 4me replacement tape didn't work, maybe because it became less flexible after being stored for a few years or because it was always too small. (That was the correct part number). Tip: If your replacement belt seems too small, try another belt (same part number) from the same or a different supplier. Also, leave the strap in a bowl of warm water first if you need to stretch it a bit to fit the new strap. It also helped me to watch some YouTube videos on how to put on a new belt. Much luck!
