I've recently moved and decided to replace my old Pioneer VSX5900S to take advantage of some new technology and complement my new 75 inch Samsung HDTV. Since I was in a new environment, I thought why not just build the system the way I really want it? After much research on in-wall/ceiling speakers, I've narrowed my choices down to an entry-level speaker, a mid-range system, and a high-end system. Since Silver Ticket's speakers had consistently high ratings, I decided to try them out with the intention of returning them if they didn't meet the requirements. In short, these guys are goalkeepers! I have an 82C in the rear, an 82S2C in the front, a 5252AC in the middle, backed up by a pair of Polk PSW10s powered by a Sony STRDH590. Under $1,000 sounds AMAZING! The Silver Ticket speakers sound incredible, are very easy to install (especially if you have a Dremel, RotoZip, or similar power tool), look great, and sound very good for a system that costs under $400 overall. They have a realistic sound, not too bright and not too boomy. I definitely recommend investing in a subwoofer, but even if you don't, you'll be pleasantly surprised at the low frequencies you can get from these speakers. In short, Silver Ticket speakers are winners!
