Still Resilient (2 Year Update)

TL; DR It is designed not to explode when used, ideal for data-intensive applications. UPDATE: I've been the proud owner of this USB for 2 years now and it has never let me down. It doesn't even show any signs of wear because it basically lives in my stuffed pocket with my keys. I can still read the SanDisk logo etched into the metal. So that it doesn't get lost I've also attached a keychain that I would recommend to anyone who wants to buy it (it was very easy, the holes are big enough to thread easily). In the end, it never let me down. I just left it on while my computer updated its sound drivers and now I can't use the search function to browse its music folders on my car stereo. I'm only writing this update because I looked through my order history to purchase the exact same model. First, I've bought a lot of USB sticks. But on my last one they were either lost or completely disintegrated with use. I knew what the problems with them were, so I set out to find a hard drive that would fix all of these problems. My requirements were high: 1. The drive had to be metal, with no moving parts to break and no flimsy plastic or glued parts to fall off.2. It had to be small enough not to stick out too much from the car radio, but still have a good storage capacity.3. Ideally, I wanted to somehow prevent the plastic innards of the circuit board from falling out, but was concerned that nobody assembled their drives that way. I have to say that this drive met all my needs and I didn't think I would find it. It's mostly metal, with a metal edge that holds the circuit board inside. Looking through the hole I also see another deeper piece of metal holding things in place. The plastic is sleek, and it's held to the metal with a clever metal hook on the back of the drive, so it can't come loose unless you really try to pry it off. It's also smaller than it appears in the photos, the perfect size for my needs. I would buy it again to replace the one I received but don't expect it to be needed. x3
