Review on Metra 70 1729 Wiring Harness 2008 Up by Keith Baker

This is a solid product - the 'female' wiring harness matches the 'daddies' in my 2012 Honda Fit with no manufacturing defects. My application is different from most - I wanted to keep the factory main unit but add an amplifier. I bought a 70-1729 and a Metra 71-1729 (which has a connector to connect to the head unit). This allowed me to connect the head unit speaker outputs to the amp without cutting or cutting the factory wires. The only downside to this approach is that Metra products contain the minimal amount of cabling required to connect a secondary stereo system. My Fit Sport model has channel and volume controls on the steering wheel, but these harnesses don't accommodate that. I'm not taking any stars off the rating for this, but wish it included 2 or more loose wires for people like me.
