Review on Sceptre C248B-144R: A Curved 24 πŸ’» Inch 1080P DisplayPort Monitor with FreeSyncTM Technology by Alan Drury

Revainrating 4 out of 5

A great 144Hz monitor for people who care more about performance than quality.

I love the fluidity this monitor offers. It feels solid enough, it's very easy to assemble, especially with the screwdriver that came with it, and the bezels are a lot thinner than my old 60Hz monitor. PROS: VERY AFFORDABLE, 144Hz, complete with necessary cables, screwdriver included CONS: colors are ridiculous, took a long time to play around with. Settings for me do not notice any problems. Backlight-80Brightness-50Contrast-50Red-45Green-43Blue-50Gamma-2.4 This is by no means a professional color calibration, it's just something I found acceptable for my use. I had a crown/reverse halo issue when I first got the monitor, at this point I don't even notice it anymore unless I'm specifically looking for it. I don't think it affects my gaming experience and hey, that's a small price to pay for such a cheap monitor. Possible problem: For some reason after getting this monitor, tabs and quitting certain games e.g. Overwatch gave me a lot more trouble while other games were almost instantaneous. For example, Overwatch takes a full few seconds to flicker a black screen on my second monitor, while games like Fortnite or Team Fortress 2 only flicker a bit when I come back. It can only be my system, so your mileage may vary.
