1. Puppy holiday and a must for all pet owners. We filled ice and water before hitting the road and then added more water as needed. It is also ideal for car cup holders. Very happy to have and review this item. Yes, you have to hold it and compress it to use it, but that's part of what makes travel easier: water comes out when you compress it and flows out again when not in use for safekeeping. UPDATE, we've been using this for a few years now and it's still working great. It's not just outside the car - our puppies are in the back seat and when we stop we can easily turn around and give her a drink, it's AMAZING!
