This is the third other manufacturer I have tried. Use them in a finished basement where humidity can reach 70-75%. There were 2 from 1st manufacturer, both worked about a year and a half. They both started shorting out and tripping the circuit breaker. They had their own outlet with their own circuit breaker for higher currents. These were industrial models costing over $1,000. After both stopped working properly, I tried an industrial model from another brand. Still over $1,000. It didn't work properly, but I didn't quite figure it out until I could get it back. This model works very well, keeps humidity below 50%, and costs less than $1,000. Have been using it for 4 or 5 months now and still works like a champ. I know none of them last for years but I think one should last 4 or 5 years or more. Refrigerators work 14-15 years and even longer. The fridge and dehumidifier work the same way. Circulate refrigerant from condensing mode to evaporating mode and vice versa. Conclusion: I like this very much. Some are quieter than the other 2 models. Humidity is maintained at 44-46%.
