We've had this for a long time. I leave it on the counter at night with the lights on or off to use the built in purple light to attract bugs. It has a relatively short battery life, but it actually works at this capacity - though so far it's only killing moths. Quite a lot of moths. They seem to be primarily attracted to the light. As a fly swatter, it only makes sense against large beetles, since the metal surface offers a lot of space. I've had other electric fine mesh fly swatters that kill insects of all sizes. However if you have moth problems this is for you.
