So nice to have the back door on my 2002 Envoy working properly again. It's been so long I forgot how easy it was! Use 2 people to install them! I didn't and got into a dilemma. One note: the bracket on the "thick" side of the bar should fit snugly against the bar body. One of mine arrived loose and undetected and this resulted in the bracket detaching from the tailgate, the plastic on the brace being bent and the 'ball' on the tailgate coming off. I had to remove the plastic trim on the tailgate to access the nut from the inside to re-tighten the tailgate "ball". Luckily the damage to the brace was minimal and once I tightened it everything worked.
