I was fed up with my underpowered backup lights in my pickup truck so I bought them for a cheap upgrade without having to install expensive aftermarket backup lights. They seem to have done their job. No, they don't provide the light that could be achieved by adding a set of LED modules, but since they only used factory housings, they easily doubled the amount of light behind my car. My only complaint is that when I start the car I get an error message saying the reverse light isn't working. None of my other LED bulbs had this problem. However, I read that adding a load resistor solves this problem. The bottom line is that they shed some light on the $10 and 10 minute upgrade.
