Good price, OE quality part, no fun replacing

This belt is OE quality. It arrived relatively quickly and cost about $42 with change. 3 minutes to dismantle and approx. 15 minutes of decisive effort when installing a new one. The job is not for laypeople or the faint of heart. Tight workspace. You need to choose the tools in advance and work carefully. I used a long torque arm and bushing to move the tensioner forward to loosen the tension on the belt. The handle could be pressed against the top of the motor to release the belt tension. After that, it was just a chore of fumbling with old chubby hands in tight spaces to remove the old belt and install a new one without destroying anything in and around the engine in the engine bay. Work carefully and slowly and you will be rewarded with the successful installation of a new accessory belt. I found a diagram of what the installed belt should look like. Found the right tools to get the job done compared to the actual installation. . Gathered nerves and did the job. Not something I do every day, but I'm glad I did. I don't see anyone clumsily or hesitantly changing straps. I did one on my 6 cylinder jeep and it was a breeze. . It requires determination, caution and planning. If that sounds like a chore to you, ask your dealer to replace the belt. I can add that the old belt was in perfect condition with no cracks, wear or problems. Driven 107,000 miles in 8 years. Keep this in mind when you decide to purchase this OEM part or a cheaper one. Best regards Pag
