I got the Amope Pedi Perfect last year and I'm thrilled! I was so excited to try this competitor's product to see how it would stack up with my favorite amope. My review will be a comparison of Amope Pedi Perfect and Dr. Scholl's Express Pedi. I used both products side by side for almost a full month to compare them and this is what I found. for dr. Scholl's only requires 2 batteries and can therefore be much more compact. They are the same weight. Handle Shape: Amope has a rounded handle shape that is much longer than the flatter and more contoured Dr. school. Both are comfortable to hold. On/Off and Speed Settings: Amope has an on/off rotary switch, while Dr. Scholl - slide on / off. None of them have a different speed, just on or off. Preparation for use: In both cases, dry feet are a prerequisite for effective use. Pre-soaking is not necessary. Roller: Amope has a slightly longer buffing roller that lifts off dead skin. Both have the same sandpaper feel. The polishing roller by Dr. Scholl is cylindrical and not domed like Amope's. Dead Skin Removal: Both are great for buffing off the dead skin on my heels. The powdery storm of dead skin on Amop is more subtle. Both make a real mess. I liked that the Amope scooter had closer access to my heels. roll on dr Scholl's is set back and not that easy to get around, although it might prevent you from pressing too hard on the skin. In any case, you should not stay in one place for more than a few seconds. You are very efficient! Battery life: with Dr. Scholl's I ran out of batteries much quicker. It is only powered by 2 batteries, so there is a difference between them. Role Change: Both roles are easily removed when it's time to swap them out. You can use these videos long before they are published. The replacement cost also appears to be the same. Overall, I was just shocked at how well Dr. Scholl's Pedi Express works. I'm so in love with my Amope Pedi Perfect I really thought it would be a slam dunk solution. If price weren't an issue, I'd go with Amope. I like its shape and feel in hand. I also like that it's longer so I can reach my heels more easily. if dr Scholl's was a lot more economical than Amope, I would strongly consider. So far this is working fine. No matter what, I will never go back to a pumice stone or cheese grater! Please let me know if there are any questions.
