In recent years I have had problems with my knees due to minor injuries. Was preparing for my first hike in the Warner Mountain Ranges and was very nervous of how many years the answer would be. My husband discovered these Cho Pat knee pads after much research. And I have to say that the 10,000ft mountain hike I did didn't hurt my knees! I also use tracking surveys which have been very helpful. I was amazed and so glad my knees didn't hurt all the time. My only minor complaint is that they kept slipping and I had to catch them all the time to keep them in place. I wore them over khaki pants. I tried to tighten them but they got so tight they hurt my legs. But that wasn't enough to stop me from going up that mountain. I have to say that I ended up taking them off on the descent, which I really needed to do because my knees were sore. They kept slipping off the top strap over my kneecap which made it very uncomfortable for me to bend my knee. I'm not sure if it was some sort of user error, but removing it was enough for me. I even say that I'm so glad I have them and they will accompany me on many trips.
