Review on Remington Teardrop Barrel Curling Wand for Effortless Textured Waves by Patricia Williams

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Beautiful teardrop shaped curling iron that is a bit tricky to hang on hair without a clip

This review is from: Remington Teardrop Barrel for structured waves. This is my first teardrop curling iron because I wanted to try the beachy/textured wave style. This one heated up fairly quickly within 30 seconds and the red light will flash while heating up as soon as you turn it on with a button that slides up and down. The wand's design includes no way to hold your hair in place other than your hands. That's the part that was difficult for me because you don't want to burn your hand. I still love the old hairstyles to cut your hair with, but it gives it a more beachy, carefree look. I wanted the hair to be less frizzy so I turned it to the center with the temperature dial and the result was a very light look. I really think you need to heat it up more to get the best curls because if you follow the directions on the box and do 10-15 seconds it won't be long enough.

Pros
  • 400 degree high temperature - Quickly set your hair with strong, even heat.
Cons
  • unreliable
