Good and bad

Advantages: Separates the optical signal well into optical and coaxial. Both work well at the same time. Disadvantages: Analog output is annoying. I tried it first optically on a headphone amp and at the same time on an analog (RCA) Class D speaker amp. The analog signal was poor. I ended up using both the optical and coaxial outputs to power my Fiio Taishan headphone amp and D/A converter and now both amps sound great. Remember that the IC that processes the analog signal is usually a separate unit. Nice concept, but the analog chip needs an overhaul.
