If you work with any type of electronics, you are familiar with the many types of sensors and computer circuit boards available on the Internet today. Amazing devices can be made by simply connecting them together and writing some sort of "glue" software. The problem lies in connecting these things together properly. This kit solves most problems as almost all the boards I've bought use the same 0.1 pitch as Dupont or JST connectors for mating. I chose this kit because I own a few other Preciva crimping machines and am very happy with them. I was not disappointed. When I received this I was very surprised at the sheer number of ports and configurations that were made available to me. The crimper is well made and each set has enough Dupont and JST connectors to last me a lifetime. The kit includes a manual showing how to properly crimp each connector and which of the three slots to use for each connector type. As a bonus, he also shows you some bad creampies for comparison. Crimping Dupont connectors is fairly easy and with the right crimping slot you should get a good crimp the first time you use it. However, due to the small size of the JST pens, it may take a little practice to get them right. . Fortunately, there are enough connectors included in the kit for you to master the technique. My 65 year old eyes needed a magnifying glass to see them! The crowning glory of a connector kit and the right crimping machines is that you can now make custom cables and even connect boards from different manufacturers. The photo shows the Dupont-JST connector cable I made. Also note that this also allowed me to secure the Dupont with a continuous pattern, allowing me to match the performance requirements of the sensor board I was working with. A very good kit.
