Review on Noctua NF F12 PWM 4 Pin Premium by Johnathan Delic

You get what you pay for

I can't say enough good things about these fans! The only drawback is the lack of color selection, I would rather have black than brown. I have 4 of these units to replace push-pull CPU heatsink fans on 2 PCs. Each fan comes with a variety of cable options, including splitters and extensions. They have gone to great lengths to ensure your purchase does not require 1 or 2 trips to your local electronics store for adapters for your PC. The fans themselves are incredibly balanced, but the dampening pads are the icing on the cake. They are also equipped with a variety of mounting options with screws or rubber snaps. To say they whisper is totally unfair. I don't hear these things at all. The room has to be completely dead to know they're on. They also move the air much better than their Corsair predecessors. I mean when I say measurable! Fan speed (RPM) alarms were triggered after the replacement as these fans cool the processor at lower speeds. Due to the superior efficiency of these devices, I had to force the system to relearn the fan cooling curves. I buy Noctua for all my fan needs. I was so impressed with this that I would replace brand new fans with new CPU coolers or cases with Noctua blocks if budget allows. I'm already planning to use them in my next build that will have positive pressure.
