So it works as it should if you get it right. There are no instructions included, but YouTube will help you with that. I installed it in 10 minutes and this is what I came across. If you don't attach the black washers to the glove box lid tight enough so that they don't rotate, the magnets can move and disengage from the magnet you screwed in first. If you leave the washers loose, a large magnet will accompany you every time you open the glove box. To keep the washer from spinning, you must apply the correct clamping force to the bolt head. The problem is that it is screwed into the plastic and can be easily removed. What I had to do was use a larger cap screw with a different and thinner thread to keep the washer from spinning. I know what you're thinking now; "Just use a larger screw without a washer." No! A larger screw head does not contain enough ferrous metal to use magnets. Using a larger, thinner-threaded cap screw in combination with a washer allows for sufficient magnetism on the glove box door, and if the washers stay in place, so will the magnet when opening the glove box. Therefore only 4 stars - no instructions, own hardware, a few bad words said during installation. When the door is closed there is a very nice positive clicking sound and the magnets do their thing so there isn't much guesswork that it's closed, you know it and not just hope it is.
