The holder itself is all metal, nice looking, very durable. I like how small it is; great minimalist look. Inside the box were different sizes of plastic spacers that could be installed between the mount and the bike frame. This is the only plastic part involved in the entire assembly. Everything went very well. Also included were all the tools needed for installation (two Allen keys). I installed it on my bike in less than a minute. Possible problems: no rubber/padding at the contact point with the phone, so if you don't have a phone case it can scratch the phone. I have a plastic phone case so it's not a problem for me. In fact, I prefer that there are no rubber parts as they break down over time. It also rattles a bit if left open without the phone. This can be remedied by simply screwing it down when not in use, but that's an extra step, especially if you have a wide phone. Little problem.
