Very poor quality for heating, cooling and air quality

I have always used Coway brand filters but the last Coway filters I got smelled awful. There is also a non-original brand that I use often (Veva) but it was out of stock. So I had to try a new brand of filters which led to me finding Durabasic filters for my Coway air purifier. I tried Durabasics for the first time and was extremely disappointed with the quality. HEPA filters are very thin, thin and light compared to any other HEPA filter I have used. Also, the fit is poor; The filters in the air purifier are very loose to the point where the filter wants to fall out. This leaves significant gaps that likely reduce this filter's ability to clean the air (HEPA filters require an airtight seal to function). Finally, the filters had a kind of "new" smell that didn't dissipate much even after a week of use. The smell wasn't as bad as the Coway filters, but they still smelled like cheap plastic. Overall, it seemed back then that filters did little to clean the air and give the air a bad smell, which is the complete opposite of what you would expect from an air purifier. I would give these filters a one star rating but I'm just bumping it up to two because if I had to choose I would choose them over the Coway filters which smell even more toxic. I choose neither, however, and until I find a better filter I think my Coway filter will be nothing more than a very large paperweight.
