I bought this item to secure small items in the back of my truck. Velcro attaches securely to bed pad, bed and trunk in both horizontal and vertical positions. Its removal does not cause significant damage to the lining material. It also adheres strongly to the carpet under the back seat of my Chevy Silvarado, but removing it will destroy the fibers of the carpet and if used there it should not be removed frequently.
