UPDATE: 03/11/18 I bought this chair on 09/01/18. I had my doubts at first, but I've upgraded my original 3 star rating to 5 stars! Read my latest update below for more info, but I'm still using the chair to get around the house for a while, although I'm starting to take a few steps back here and there after my serious injury in November. I really thought the wheels were going to fail as they are not designed for the way I use the chair but they are still fine! It's still very comfortable and I haven't had any issues with it. If you spend a lot of time in the chair I would recommend going back after a few months and retightening the bolts that hold the armrests to the base and backrest. . I did this last month and they have loosened up a bit since I first put them together. I keep the Allen key that came with my office chair handy so I can check it for tightness every few months or so. I'm very happy with it, so it's worth the money! UPDATE: January 31, 2018 I have had this chair for almost 5 months now. I decided to keep it as I couldn't find one I liked better and I was in dire need of a chair. I'm way more impressed with it now than when I first got it! My original rating was three stars, I have now upgraded it to four stars. I tore a ligament in my leg over two months ago. Big movement problems! I ended up grabbing my office chair and using it to sit while using my good leg to move around the house. I've been doing this for two months and it's been so incredibly helpful! I'm a bit concerned that the wheels might start to fail, but then again I've worn them down significantly more in the last two months than a regular office chair rolling on. I have adapted. adapted to the shape of the chair and now find it much more comfortable than when I started. I like how soft the back is, I adjusted to the seat being stiffer and slightly reclined. Sleeve patches are an added bonus. I would have given this a five star rating if it weren't for the way the armrests attached to the seat and backrest. Still worried about durability.----------------------------- ------- -------- I received this chair yesterday (9/7/17). Assembly wasn't as easy as the list suggests, it would have been much easier with two people. Finally assembled and used. First, most of the parts are plastic. Very bad quality. I'm not sure yet if I'll keep it or send it back. I bought this because my very old previous work chair recently fell apart resulting in a scary neck injury. The armrests attach to the seat with two screws each, and the backrest attaches to the armrests with two more screws on each side. The backrest is not connected to the seat at all. I am very concerned that it will break like my old one (although it was used for several years first!). I am also very disappointed that the seat does not fall off. I'm a 5'3" woman with short legs. I can't even get my feet on the ground, even on the lowest step. It strikes me as odd; I know a lot of women who are way shorter than me. ME! Dangling your feet like a child isn't conducive to desk work or remote comfort. This chair also lacks comfort. With soft padding, I was expecting it to be a bit snuggly. The seat is fairly stiff, the fabric itself is soft, but you definitely don't sink in. Also, I don't like the downward sloping front of the seat, which is very uncomfortable in any sitting position. I feel like I'm about to slide off the chair, and if it were smooth like leather instead of microfiber , I probably would! big enough to regularly sit with my feet on the floor (which I can't with it), but I wanted to be able to sit cross-legged in it, and it's definitely not wide enough for that .Noc h a note: this chair doesn't let you recline at all like most office chairs do. You can only sit up straight and turn around. The only two positive things I can think of about this chair are that the fabric is very soft, love that the armrests are soft - my old chair's armrests were wood over metal and were very heavy and uncomfortable.
