As others have said - this is different from the Nite Ize version. It's smooth and the wire is softer. They probably share 80% of the applications. Because the Nite Ize is thicker, stronger, and ribbed, it's not as easy to thread through small holes - it works great and fits through screw holes, and it wobbles because you can cut it to the length you want. Much cheaper than Night Ise. I have several Nite Ize and I use them when strength matters, otherwise I use these for many, many different uses and that's not all.
