Review on Bayco LBC 100 Classic Incandescent Changer: Simplify Bulb Replacements with Ease by Joey Makarovski

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great inexpensive solution to keep in mind

As mentioned in the description this tool has threads that mate well with threaded handles for things like brushes, mops etc. Properly tightened, it almost eliminates the need for a set screw to keep the tool from twisting on the handle. If rotation becomes a problem, drill a small hole in the handle to tighten the set screw, which will instantly solve the problem. Wrapping the threads on the handle with tape will also solve the problem. Do not tighten the locking screw so much that it deforms the device. Careful handling is required when using. If the pears come out sticky, a sharp twist could break them as the tool slips off the pear. Pushing up and down while turning can also help. A little patience and the bulb will separate. As with any fastener, do not overtighten when installing bulbs. The center pin on bushings is designed to have a slight spring tension; no torque wrench needed :). I was pleasantly surprised at the quality and how well it actually worked. Highly recommended.
