Review on Lenovo G34W 10 34" Curved Monitor, 3440x1440P, Height Adjustable, Anti-Glare Coating, Flicker-Free - ‎Model 66A1GCCBUS by David Hatje

Revainrating 3 out of 5

This is not an Energy Star monitor, it does not have built-in speakers.

I put what I don't like at the top as there are a lot of good things about it. It does not have an Energy Star rating. For many this isn't a deal breaker, but for me it matters and I didn't realize it until I made the purchase. Among the crooked monitors, it may have been cheaper (at least when I bought it) compared to the LG/Samsung, but now I'm paying the rest of the cost on my utility bill. The monitor made my desk appear smaller. About 10 inches from the stand. I had to extend the table so the monitor wasn't on my face. The monitor itself is good and I will not go back to regular monitors. I liked the flex especially if you have poor vision, distance matters on ultra wide monitors. The curve makes it better. And since it's 4k it's easy for me to have two windows side by side with visual studio and the browser is pretty basic and I have more vertical lines than 1080p. I'm not a gamer, so it doesn't matter 144 Hz and all these settings. This monitor can do that, but is not needed for my purposes. Oh, just a reminder, this one doesn't have built-in speakers, there's no USB-C on the monitor.

Pros
  • The screen was shattered (on the way I think). I could only use half of the screen.
Cons
  • Bad contrast
