Our white dog lay in a kind of soil with a high proportion of clay and therefore had red-brown spots on his head, back, paws and tail. Even after several weeks and many baths, their fur was still blotchy and rough and dirty looking. We sprayed it liberally on the stains (until they got very wet) and waited 5 minutes. We were very careful to keep it out of her sight and I held her on her lap so she didn't shake it off during those 5 minutes. After we rinsed and dried it, the stains were almost completely gone. But her fur still wasn't as white as it used to be. So the next day we repeated this process and now her fur is brilliant white again. Here's a photo looking down at her head, which used to be colored reddish brown. Note that the fur is bright white from root to tip. Very satisfied! Update: This also appears to have cumulative benefits. We now use it instead of soap to wash dirty paws. They're easier to clean since we've been using them. In addition, it is a deodorant that leaves their fur fresh and clean and does not leave any unpleasant odors.
