Review on Discover the LG 32BN88U-B Ultrafine 4K Ergonomic Monitor with 120Hz and USB Hub by Jesse Lang

Revainrating 4 out of 5

No DP cables, not compatible with all consoles.

Mostly good monitor. not quite my old iMac 5K display, but a good move when migrating from Apple. A few points to keep in mind: 1. The stand is not suitable for all tables. It attaches to the table either through a hole or around the back edge of the table. If your desk has a thin top (I have a cheap Ikea desk with a 5/8" top) the clip won't close tight enough to secure a purchase to the desk. I solved this problem by cutting the spacers from one piece. 3/4" plywood. If you can't cut the plywood standoffs yourself, make sure the top is thick enough and get ready to buy a new desk, different VESA monitor stand, or monitor .2.It doesn't come with DisplayPort cables. There is HDMI cable and USB-C cable. If you need DisplayPort, please order cables.3.It's bright enough but not too bright. The Default brightness is 100% (or maybe it automatically adjusts to 100% when I turn it on, I'm not sure.) I don't turn the volume down much unless the lights are dimmed, but my office doesn't lots of light so everything works fine If you want to run two of these you need a decent graphics card (those are hard to come by these days) look in device manager to see which card you have and then google the specs for that maximum up solution. My old GeForce 8500 GT doesn't work. My AMD 6700 XT has been working flawlessly so far. Any GeForce 3000 series card will do. It's not perfect, but everything goes to show that I don't know if there's a better $500 4K monitor out there. I can buy new DP cables, cut the spacers to fit my desk, and dim the lights in the room and that will solve almost all of my problems with it.
