Review on 🔆 100-watt Reptile Basking Spot Lamp by Zoo Med for Optimal Heating by Paul Andrews

I bought this bulb in April 2014. I don't leave the lights on when I leave the apartment because I'm always on the lookout for possible fires. Today my paranoia finally paid off. I'm in another room and my friend hears a bang. He goes to the turtle tank and the lightbulb in the tank is broken and smoke comes out. Luckily someone was there to turn off the lamp to avoid a possible fire. There was glass everywhere and we quickly pulled the turtles out to make sure they didn't hurt themselves. I wanted to trust that lightbulb and found that I definitely shouldn't. I wouldn't recommend this lightbulb unless you plan to always be home when it's on.
