I saw a guy on YouTube that reminded me of Don Johnson in the 80's. Then the series "Miami Vice" was popular. It was also around this time that Don popularized espadrilles. In any case, maybe nostalgia got the better of me; or maybe I just wanted to feel young again. Decided to buy espadrilles. They arrived two days later. Fast delivery. I opened the box and the scent brought me back to my youth. When they're brand new, they don't smell like "new shoes". They have their own special taste that no other shoe has. But I wouldn't recommend sniffing them after you've worn them for months. (That would be rude.) Let's move on. When I put them on for the first time, I thought, "Wow. They're very narrow!” Then I realized that there was a cardboard liner inside. So make sure you take them off. I wore them around the house to crack. I was walking around the living room like Billy Badass like I was some kind of fashion detective. I wish I could go outside. But now it's January and there's heavy snow where I live. I have to wait until it gets warm to wear them outside. In general I am very satisfied with the product. I plan to buy another pair soon. This time I'm thinking of leather to match my leather pants and fedora hat.
