The light seems to focus on a small point after installation

These lights are definitely not bright, it may be some kind of clear plastic as they appear bright enough before you install them , but once you have them fitted the light they seem to focus on a small spot and that only becomes the brightest spot (still not that bright) and the rest of the scale appears so dim you can't read it. I have a dimmer and it's at the highest point, with other LEDs I actually had to turn it off while driving
